Trinity Baptist Church What We Believe 1) The Bible: The Holy Bible is God’s revelation to man, and all of Scripture is inspired and authoritative. Scripture is without error, is totally true, and is complete. Nothing is to be added to Scripture and nothing is to be taken away.
Exodus 24:4; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalm 19:7-10; Psalm 119:89; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17-18; Luke 21:33; Luke 24:44-49; John 17:17; Acts 17:11; Romans 15:4, 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:19-21, Revelation 22:18-19
2) The Trinity:
There is only one God. He is eternal and exists as three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, and there is one God.
Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 10:30; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:7; Ephesians 4:4-6; Hebrews 1:8
3) God the Father: God is holy, completely sovereign, all knowing, perfectly just, and uncomprehendingly merciful and loving.

4) Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is very God. He was born of a virgin and lived on this earth as a perfect man, both fully God and fully man. He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose from the dead. He is at the right hand of God and acts as our high priest and advocate.
Psalm 2, 110:1; Isaiah 7:14, 53; Matthew 1:18-25, 3:17, 11:27, 17:5, 28:1-6; Mark 1:1; Luke 1:34-35, 22:70, 24:46-47; John 1:1-18, 10:30, 12:44-50, 14:7-11, 17:1-5, 17:21-22, 20:1-20; Acts 1:9, 2:22-24, 7:55-56, 9:20; Romans 1:3-4, 5:6-21, 8:34, 9:5, 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:30, 8:6, 15:1-8; Ephesians 1:20, 4:4-6; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20, 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Titus 2:13-14; Hebrews 1:1-3, 4:14-16, 7:14-28, 10:12, 10:21-22, 12:2; 1 Peter 2:21-22, 3:22; 1 John 2:1, 4:14-15; 2 John 7-9; Revelation 1:13-16, 5:9-14, 12:10-11, 19:16
5) Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is fully divine. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, enables us to understand truth, cultivates spiritual maturity in our lives, teaches us, comforts us, provides assurance, bestows spiritual gifts, empowers us to serve, seals us, and gives us boldness and courage for carrying out God’s work.
Genesis 1:2; Judges 14:6; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-32; Matthew 1:18, 3:16, 4:1, 28:19; Mark 1:10-12; Luke 1:35, 4:1, 4:18-19, 11:13, 12:12, John 14:16-17, 14:26, 15:26, 16:13-15; Acts 1:8, 2:17-21, 4:31, 5:3-4, 16:6, Romans 8:9-11, 8:13-16, 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 2:10-14, 3:16, 12:1-13; Galatians 4:6-7, 5:22-25; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:4-6, 4:30, 5:18, 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 9:14, 2 Peter 1:21; 1 John 4:13, 5:6-7, Revelation 22:17
6) Man: Man is created in the image of God with meaning and purpose. Because man is made in God’s image, all men and women are to be treated with dignity and respect. Man has rebelled against God and is guilty of sin. All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, resulting in broken fellowship with God. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and only through Jesus can we be forgiven and our broken relationship restored.

7) Salvation: Salvation is a work of grace that cannot be earned. Jesus Christ, who was sinless, died for our sins. Jesus Christ alone was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and only through Him is there salvation. There is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. If you repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, He will forgive you for your sins and give you eternal life. All true believers receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and have the assurance that their salvation is complete and eternal.
